Last night, the cast and crew of the upcoming film, Peeples, came together at the Los Angeles premiere of the film.

Peeples’s stars KERRY WASHINGTON, DAVID ALAN GRIER and CRAIG ROBINSON hit the red carpet during the highly aniticipated premiere.

KENYA MOORE, DIAHANN CARROLL, BRESHA WEBB, LORETTA DEVINE and film producer TYLER PERRY were also in attendance.

Peeples’ is set to hit theaters May 10th…

Hailing from Savannah, Georgia, 18-year-old R&B singer NIVEA, made her big debut she appeared on MYSTIKAL‘s smash hit, “Danger,” in 2000.

After garnering success from her cameo, NIVEA went on to release two singles, “Don’t Mess With the Radio,” and “Don’t Mess With My Man,” off of her self-titled debut album, released in 2002.

In the midst of her fame, NIVEA found love with LIL WAYNE, got engaged, ended the engagement, and shortly after tied the knot with up-and-coming music producer, TERIUS THE DREAM NASH, in 2004.

After tying the knot, NIVEA debuted the first single from her follow up album, Complicated, entitled “Okay,” featuring LIL JON and YOUNG BLOODZ. However, in the midst of promoting her sophomore album, NIVEA gave birth to her first child, NAVY NASH, causing her label to scale back album promotion….

During the early 1990′s three up-and-coming singers, MONICA ‘MIMI’ DOBY, NICHOLE ‘NICCI’ GILBERT and CHARMAINE ‘MAXEE’ MAXWELL, formed the R&B girl group BROWNSTONE in Los Angeles, CA.

After being signed to legendary singer, MICHAEL JACKSON‘s MJJ Music Label , the trio released their debut album, From The Bottom Up in 1995.

The success of their first album, due in large part to their single, “If You Love Me,” led to BROWNSTONE receiving a Grammy nod in 1995 and winning a 1995 Billboard music award.

Tension soon began to develop between the three members and DOLBY ultimate cut ties with the group, initially blaming her departure on an illness.

BROWNSTONE released their sophomore album, Still Climbing in 1997, with newly added member, KINA COSPER, but failed to live up to the success of their debut…

TYLER PERRY and film maker ELVIN ROSS recently held the VIP black tie premiere screening of the new documentary film produced by Elvin Ross Studios, Kunta Kinteh Island: Coming Home Without Shackles.

Held at th Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta, the film honored and celebrated African captive, Kunta Kinteh, who gained worldwide recognition in the 1977 ABC television series “Roots”.

CNN anchor, SOLEDAD O’BRIEN served as the mistress of cermonies, while KANDI BURRESS, KEKE WYATT, and BOBBY V were the many in attendance.

Yesterday, singer NE-YO along with his charity, the Compound Foundation teamed up with The Boys and Girls Club to bring the 6th annual Compound Foundation Giving Tour in Atlanta, GA.

NE-YO joined with Mayor KASSEM REED, ANGELA SIMMONS, and NFL Super Bowl Champion Deon Grant to give toys, clothing, electronics and bicycles to 500 local children ages 3-18.

All gifts were provided by Coca Cola, Creative Recreation, Ubisoft, Toys for Tots, and Carol’s Daughter.
