Lately, USHER has been going in overdrive in preparation for the release of his forthcoming album Looking for Myself.
From making TV appearances to releasing new singles almost weekly it was only fitting that he was chosen to take part in one of music’s biggest nights.
On May 20 USHER will hit the stage at the MGM Grand Arena in celebration of the Billboard Music Awards.
Other scheduled performers include NELLY FURTADO, JUSTIN BEIBER and KELLY CLARKSON.
Additional lineup features will be announced in the coming weeks, but it’s good to see USHER is really back.
In today’s beauty and cosmetics industries it is seldom that you come across products that are just as good for you as the cause it supports.
But the hair care line Beautiful Curls does just that.
Beautiful Curls is a part of the Alaffia skin care line that is based in Togo, West Africa and it creates Certified Fair Trade hair products. The products are made for all curl types and fall under three main categories—Curly to Kinky hair, Wavy to Curly hair and Babies.
Using pure, unrefined shea butter, Beautiful Curls’ products are also infused with coconut oil, calendula extract, vitamins and minerals. The company’s Curl Enhancing line is ideal for hair types that are loose and wavy, and the Curl Activating line works best with kinky and tightly-coiled hair.
Aside from curling shampoos and conditioners, the line makes a defining gel, sculpting wax and curl activating creams.
The shea butter used in all of Beautiful Curls’ products is handcrafted by a cooperative of women in the Sokode village of Togo.
The great thing is that proceeds from all sales are returned to Sokode where they are used to supply bikes for its citizens and create housing and community programs.
The Beautiful Curls line can be purchased at Whole Foods Market or at www.beautifulcurls.com
Word broke out yesterday that BEYONCÉ joined the ranks of thousands of picture-posting Tumblr users by creating her own account.
Celebrating her fourth anniversary with hubby JAY-Z, it was reported that BEY launched her own account for the momentous occasion. But yesterday, instead of seeing “intimate photos,” all visitors got was a blank, password protected page.
Not today, though! Beyonce.Tumblr.Com is up and running.
Although her “official tumblr,” really functions as landing site for her newly designed website, we’re pretty sure on its way to breaking some kind of record for the amount of followers.
For stans and the “inquisitive” alike, BEY’s Tumblr page is all-around fun.
Complete with plenty of pics of her on vacation, with JAY, and with her Blue Ivy Belly, her site is as special as it’s fun for browsing.
Check out our gallery now but be prepared for plenty of awwwws!
By now you may have read a blog, been a ‘CC’ on an email or simply heard through the grapevine about MARY J. BLIGE‘s Burger King chicken jingle.
In their latest series of commercials promoting new additions to the menu’s lineup the food chain went the surefire route of employing celeb faces to garner attention.
And attention they got.
Aside from MJB, comedian JAY LENO, actress SALMA HAYEK, and athlete DAVID BECKHAM all have spots endorsing the new items.
Playing on the skills of the celebrities or simply what they’re known for, LENO’s hobby for collecting automobiles was used in his commercial, HAYEK’s acting skills in hers, and BECKHAM’s handsomeness, not soccer, in his.
So that leaves singing to MARY’s spot which received the most backlash. Go figure…

AMANDA SEALES is a woman of many hats, who never tires of lengthening her resume.
She is a musician, DJ and a painter. She’s been a VJ host on MTV, done social commentary and has also performed on “Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry.”
Most recently, she has added playwright to her ever-evolving list of skills– all in the name of shedding the very brand she built herself upon.
The idea for Death of the Diva, her newly released one-woman musical narrative, was conceived during what she states was her transition into “bonafide adulthood.”
For more than 10 years SEALES has gone by, and been widely recognized as, “Amanda Diva.”
On her 30th birthday last July she dropped “Diva” and reclaimed her surname, SEALES.
The artist contributes the current portrayals of women in the media and on reality TV to her making this decision. “When we hear the word ‘diva’ today, we think of ‘bitch,’ …
The latest season of Basketball Wives Miami is only four episodes in, and in true reality fashion, the drama is already brewing.
A few weeks ago Juicy brought to you the first words from one of the show’s “newbies,” KESHA NICHOLS. And now we’re back with a follow-up!
This week, our fave Southern Belle speaks on being accused of “haterism,” being multiracial, and what really happened between her and KENYA BELL’s husband.
Juicy: On the last episode KENYA BELL called you a “hater” when you stepped back from her project. How did you feel about that?
KESHA NICHOLS: That’s one of those situations where there was a lot more back-story. When I said, ‘If it’s not gonna be perfect, I don’t want to be a part of it,’it seemed like I was being really short with her but that was not what was meant. Kenya was just very inexperienced. She’d never shot a video, never hired dancers, never had a story board. There were so many things…
Last night, season four of Basketball Wives premiered with the introduction of two new faces to the Miami lineup.
KESHA NICHOLS, one half of the duo, is a professional dancer hailing from North Carolina who has recovered from, and celebrates the not-so-private breakup with her ex-fiancé, baller RICHARD JEFFERSON.
In an exclusive chat with Juicy, KESHA speaks on the difficulties of being the new girl, starting over in life, and what she hopes to gain from reality television.
JUICY: How did casting for Basketball Wives come about?
KESHA NICHOLS: Basketball Wives started shooting for season 1, about a month or two after my wedding was cancelled. They approached me and asked me to be on season one but I felt it was too early and I needed to focus on starting my life and career over.
They came back to me again for seasons 2 and 3, and I was just focused on other things. But when they called about season 4….
