Kim Kardashian’s Beauty Secret: Color Correcting Primer!!!

KIM KARDASHIAN is known for a lot of things, one of which is her flawless makeup.

KIM is the queen of the “beat,” face and seems to always have her makeup perfectly on point.

Over the weekend KIM posted a photo of a bright yellow  pretreatment that her makeup artist used  on her face, and we were all left wondering what was that?

Juicy of course figure out one of the many ways KIM manages to look like she has perfect skin in the use of  Color Correcting Foundation Primer.

Makeup lines like MACSmashbox, and REVLON carry color correcting foundation primers, that come in a wide variety of shades including purple, yellow and green to be used according to your complexion.

These primers are more lightweight primers than the ones you are used to, so that they can soften skin and diffuse light to help minimize flaws and even out skin texture. It creates a perfect canvas to apply your foundation so skin is completely even and discolorations are gone.

You can find color correcting foundation primers in different textures including creams, liquids and even powders.

Women of all colors and skin tones can use color correcting foundation primers. In order to figure out which color is best for you, we’ve broken down the top four color correctors and their function:

1. Green Color Correcting Foundation Primer – Green is the best color to diffuse any areas of redness or irritation on the skin. Think acne, rosacea, pimples and scarring. You will want to cover the areas of redness with a thin coating of green color correcting foundation primer and as soon as you apply your favorite foundation, those red areas will magically disappear.

2. Yellow Color Correcting Foundation Primer – Yellow is ideal for correcting dark circles, bruising and any area of discoloration that takes on a purple or bluish tint. This is what Kim’s makeup artist used in the infamous twit pic above which created a flawless result along with warming up and evening out her skin.

3. Purple Color Correcting Foundation Primer – Purple color correctors balance out sallow complexions and any areas of discoloration with a yellowish tinge to it. This shade is also great for evening out yellowish bruising on those with olive or bronze skin tones.

4.Orange Color Correcting Foundation Primer – Orange or red color correctors are great for dark complexions. They are used to even skin tone while bring back the life to dull skin.
