TYLER PERRY needs to add “super hero” to his long resume.
The controversial director is publicly defending his choice to cast KIM KARDASHIAN in his new film, The Marriage Counselor. After news broke of KIM’s upcoming role as Ava, angry fans threatened to boycott The Marriage Counselor until KIM got pulled from the cast.
To let you know just how unsorry he is, TYLER PERRY pulled a KIM and released an open letter posted on his site to his critics, defending his choice to cast KIM in his new movie.
“She literally has millions of young people following her. I thought and still do think, that it would be very responsible of her to be a part of this film.”
He goes on to say, “My films speak from the inside out, why wouldn’t Kim Kardashian be invited into a film about faith, forgiveness and the healing power of God?”
Kim started filming The Marriage Counselor shortly after ending her 72-day marriage to NBA player KRIS HUMPHRIES. People with
common sense doubts about the KIM’s relevance to the film believe that KIM’s oversexualized image and lack of moral character make her unfit to play in a Tyler Perry film. Some even goes as far to say that the role could’ve been given to a qualified African-American actress.
At the end of the day, TP’s decision to cast KIM wasn’t based off talent, it was a business decision. The KARDASHIAN empire has a cult following and whatever KIM does, loyal fans are bound to invest in. Call it what you want – PERRY is about to make bank!
