According to TMZ, UltraViolet, a women’s rights organization, has petitioned the sneaker brand to cut ties with ROSS after his highly offensive lyrics on the song, “U.O.E.N.O.,” were perceived to promote date rape.
UltraViolet, petitioned outside of the flagship Reebok store and garnered over 70,000 signatures calling for ROSS’ removal earlier this month. The organization believes that, “Every single day that Reebok continues rewarding Rick Ross with a lucrative endorsement deal, Reebok is condoning rape.”
ROSS garnered major backlash after rapping, “Put Molly all in the champagne. She ain’t even know it. I took her home and I enjoy that. She ain’t even know it.”
ROSS has since issued a loosely received apology, and support from label mate MEEK MILL.
