‘The Big O’ Set To Recieve an Oscar

Word on the street is: OPRAH WINFREY  is set to receive an honorary Academy Award later this year.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Board of Governors announced this week the Queen of media will cop the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for her contributions to charitable causes.

QUINCY JONES (1995)  has been the only brown face to receive the same distinguished honor.

Winfrey will pick up her trophy at the third annual Governors Awards at the Hollywood & Highland Center on November 12.

This doesn’t make us forget the Oscar Winfrey should have received for  ‘Best Supporting Actress’ Academy Award for her performance in 1985′s The Color Purple. *sucks teeth*
