The Take Over: Beyonce Wins A Journalism Award!!!

BEYONCE has excelled at many things – now she surpasses expectations in the world of journalism.

Her cover story in the July 2011 issue of Essence Magazine, has won her a writing award from the New York Association of Black Journalists.

The article titled, “Eat, Play, Love,” chronicled all the excitement she experienced when taking a 9-month hiatus from the music business in 2010. It was then BEYONCE wrote in the story, that she had found, “relaxation,” but says she was looking for, “Inspiration too, from regular everyday things. They did not have to be over-the-top productions. I was looking for tiny moments that would speak to my heart and make me smile…”

The story New York Association of Black Journalists announced that they will be gifting King BEY with the honorary award on May 15th.
