Nick Cannon Says ‘American Idol’ Can’t Afford Mariah Carey!!!

With the rumors swirling that R&B diva MARIAH CAREY will be the next possible replacement for JENNIFER LOPEZ on American Idol, husband NICK CANNON doesn’t think they could afford his wife.

“I don’t know if they can afford Mariah Carey. That’s a lot of money. If they gave J.Lo $20 million, they might have to double that!” Nick told TMZ.

J. LO announced her departure, allegedly leaving because producers weren’t able double her salary, after being on the judging panel for two years.

LOPEZ isn’t the only to say goodbye, judge STEVE TYLER also quit last week, while RANDY JACKSON is also said to be considering leaving the show.
