100 guests were in attendance at the $40,000 dollar ticket per guest event, raising $4 million dollars in support of OBAMA’s presidential campaign.
Huffington Post blogger and independent journalist, NIDA KHAN, was one of the lucky guest at last night’s festivities and tweeted several quotes from the evening.
After being introduced by BEYONCE, President OBAMA, began by thanking the dynamic duo hosting the event and let the crowd in on a little secret, “Michelle, Sasha, and Malia are mad at me because they are not here.”
“We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are. So, you know, we’ve got a little bond there. It’s hard but it’s okay,” said POTUS trying to connect how similar he and JAY-Z are.
While giving a speech at the event, President OBAMA stated, “We’ve made history in the past and we’re going to make history in the next seven weeks. We’re on the brink of an election but more importantly, we’re on the brink of moving America in a direction where we’re going to be more just, more fair.”
JAY-Z and BEYONCE’s fundraiser is said to be one of BARACK OBAMA’s last NYC appearances before the November 2012 presidential elections.Related Posts
