Earlier this week MISSY ELLIOTT and TIMBALAND stopped by Hot 97 to release MISSY’s two new songs, “9th Inning,” and “Triple Threat.”
While catching up with ANGIE MARTINEZ and DJ ENUFF, MISSY and TIMBALAND discussed what the new songs meant and even touched on the potential AALIYAH posthumous album.
When asked how she would feel if a call came asking her to be a part of the potential album MISSY stated, “My response would be a little different because I have to respect her family. And until they come and say we’re ready to do an Aaliyah album, then I don’t really want to get into that because its very touchy.”
MISSY continued, “We have to think about it. Its not records that already came out, we’re talking about unfinished music. We don’t know what her reasoning for not putting those records out. Maybe she didn’t feel like they were her best work and so we don’t wanna tap in to that, unless her parents came in and conducted that.”
There is no official release date or title for MISSY’s upcoming album but we can only expect good things from the famed rapper and producer.
