Nicki Minaj Reveals Why She Chose To Judge ‘American Idol’ !!!

Rapper NICKI MINAJ, the newest judge of the hit televised singing competition American Idol, decided to clarify just why she signed on to become a part of the show.

In an interview with Showbiz Spy, the Queens-bred femcee reveals she choose to American Idol over other talent competitions because she feels American Idol had more brand recognition.

“This is such a credible brand. It’s really serious, it’s real deal. It’s not anything else other than really looking for talent,” MINAJ says.

Over the weekend MINAJ joined MARIAH CAREY, RANDY JACKSON, and KEITH URBANas a judge on the show’s 12th season. MINAJ says she remembers when the hit show first started.

She says, “I remember watching American Idol in the first season and feeling inspired. If I can be a part of that I’m really down for it.”
