The Basketball Wives franchise is moving to the big screen.

SHAUNIE O’NEAL one of VH1 show’s current “producers,” will co-produce with movie producer,TRACY EDMONDS, to make a film adaptation to the very popular reality tv series.

EDMONDS, the ex-boo of both EDDIE MURPHY and singer BABYFACE, confirmed that the movie will be much different than the show, and will focus more on the concept of living the basketball wife life.

“The beauty of a feature film is that we’ll have the ability to dig much deeper into the stories and characters that come from this very colorful world and create a very juicy action packed narrative,” EDMONDS tells Variety.

It’s being reported the film will center around a young woman who follows her boyfriend to Miami after he gets drafted into the NBA. Thrust into the world of professional sports, she meets and learns from the sisterhood of players’ wives and learns from their trials and tribulations.

EDMONDS took to Twitter to further explain to those who may be skeptical about her choice to take on the film saying, “The film introduces new characters with rich story lines & although juicy and action packed, it’ll empower! Entirely different project and characters. Exploring the world from a different perspective. Fantastic script and story!”

Lately, USHER has been going in overdrive in preparation for the release of his forthcoming album Looking for Myself.

From making TV appearances to releasing new singles almost weekly it was only fitting that he was chosen to take part in one of music’s biggest nights.

On May 20 USHER will hit the stage at the MGM Grand Arena in celebration of the Billboard Music Awards.

Other scheduled performers include NELLY FURTADO, JUSTIN BEIBER and KELLY CLARKSON.

Additional lineup features will be announced in the coming weeks, but it’s good to see USHER is really back.

SOMAYA REECE has taken to Twitter to document her weight loss journey, and along the way she has opened up about her anorexia.

The Love & Hip-Hop reveals that when she was younger she let the pressures of being thin get to her so much she began to starve herself.

“When I was on my MySpace, people didn’t understand I was starving to be thin. I wasn’t eating,” Somaya told NecoleBitchie.com.

“At one point I was a size 0, and I’m 5’10. I had a lot of really bad people advising me and I got sick. I collapsed on a set of a commercial. I was rushed to the hospital and treated for malnutrition and low iron. Finally the doctor told me, if I continued to not eat, I would die.”

Posting pics daily of her new, cosmetically enhanced cinched figure, SOMAYA says she is looking forward to matching her career with her new look.

“I’m continuing to work on my music. And I want to talk more about my weight loss and hopefully inspire others to reach their own goals,” she said.

QUEEN LATIFAH has been confirmed to make an appearance at 2012′s Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride Festival.

Although LATIFAH has faced speculation much of her career that she is lesbian, the 42-year-old entertainer has never addressed or officially come out as gay, but further fuels rumors by headlining a concert during the festival.

“From hip to R&B, pop to standards, Queen Latifah is the voice of our generation, and her concert here will be phenomenal,” Long Beach Pride co-president Pat Crosby said in a statement.

“For her to make her worldwide Pride debut here in Long Beach is a tremendous testament to the popularity of our celebration and to the strength of our community.”

NBA superstar ALLEN IVERSON is in hot water once again after his estranged wife TAWANNA has demanded a restraining order against him.

TAWANNA, who was IVERSON’s high school sweetheart, claims her husband demonstrated “threatening” behaviors that are “increasingly contemptuous and disturbing,” which warranted the restraining order. And after IVERSON’s unfavorable image in the media with alcohol, gambling and money problems, this claim isn’t hard to believe.

The couple married in 2001 and have five children together. IVERSON is rumored to be going oversees to play in China, though the deal has not been confirmed.

Let’s hope this restraining order keeps these two civil towards one another…for the sake of the kiddies.

EVELYN LOZADA got frisky on the set of a photo shoot with fellow Love & Hip-Hop’s CHRISSY LAMPKIN and RHOA’s KANDI BURRESS.

EVELYN posted photos on Instagram of herself and CHRISSY examining each other’s um….assets, and both of them seemed to be loving it!

We all know that EVELYN has an attraction to both sexes (as evidenced by her twitter obsession with celeb BFF RIHANNA) and she seems to have the ability to bring the inner-freak out of every female she works with. Hmmmm…OCHO better watch out!

The shoot was rumored to be for a popular men’s magazine, but of course we’ll just have to wait and see where these sexy photos will end up.
