After just one season, NBC has officially pulled the plug on their newest drama, Deception, starring MEAGAN GOOD and LAZ ALONZO.
The series storyline followed GOOD as she played an undercover police officer investigating the death of her childhood friend, as she worked with former lover and colleague played by ALONZO.
GOOD released a statement confirming the show’s cancellation on her website yesterday.
“I’m sorry everyone. I just wanted to let you know that NBC has decided not to renew DECEPTION and I just wanted you guys to hear from me first. I am so thankful and humbled and blessed by the out pour of love and support – to see it come back and saddened that it is not. Thank you so much for supporting me
GOOD’s co-star ALONZO also took to Twitter to comment on the series cancellation tweeting, “Thanks 2 all those who loved, supported & fought 4 #Deception!!! #BestFansEver. Tell us did you watch Deception, are you sad to see it go?

R&B singer, JAHEIM, is sending major love to aging women with the release of his “Age Ain’t A Factor.”
The New Jersey native who has been missing from the music scene since the release of his album, Another Round in 2010 sings, “Your story gets more pretty every chapter, more attractive, age ain’t a factor.”
Taken off of JAHEIM’s upcoming album, Appreciation Day, set to be released later this year, “Age Ain’t A Factor,” can be heard below.
Last night, the cast and crew of the upcoming film, Peeples, came together at the Los Angeles premiere of the film.
Peeples’s stars KERRY WASHINGTON, DAVID ALAN GRIER and CRAIG ROBINSON hit the red carpet during the highly aniticipated premiere.
KENYA MOORE, DIAHANN CARROLL, BRESHA WEBB, LORETTA DEVINE and film producer TYLER PERRY were also in attendance.

As KELLY ROWLAND gears up to release her fourth solo studio album, Talk A Good Game, the singer debuted the official artwork for the upcoming project.
ROWLAND took to Instagram to share images of her forthcoming LP with the caption, “My new album ‘Talk A Good Game’ hits stores on June 18th! – xoxo.”
Dressed in a completely see through sheer shirt, it is clear ROWLAND plans to bring the sexy with her latest project.
ROWLAND’s Talk A Good Game features her to current hit singles, “Ice” featuring LIL WAYNE and “Kisses Down Low.”
Not only is BEYONCE doing voice-over acting for the lead character in the upcoming animated film, Epic, the superstar songstress is also gearing up to release new music on it’s soundtrack.
According to the Wall Street Journal, BEYONCE wrote and sings the song, “Rise Up, produced by HIT-BOY and CHASE N. CASHE, for the upcoming film where she stars as the voice of “Queen Tara.
“Rise Up,” can be heard on Epic, set to hit theaters May 24th.

Lately, trouble just seems to follow reality star, ROB KARDASHIAN.
In March, KARDASHIAN was involved in a scuffle with ANDRA VIAK, a female photographer, after she snapped some pics of the ROBERT shirtless and working out at a West Hollywood gym.
KARDASHIAN, who claims VIAK trespassed on private property to take the photos, allegedly grabbed the photographer’s camera and removed the memory card.
She also accuses the youngest KARDASHIAN of hitting her in the face, and suffering injuries to her arm and chest.
VIAK has since filed a robbery report and sued ROB KARDASHIAN for misdemeanor assault and robbery claiming the memory card was worth at least $30,000 dollars.

Like rapper LAURYN HILL, the Queens native was sentenced to 28 months in prison for failing to pay taxes on more than $3 million dollars between 2004-2006.
In a statement released to TMZ, JA RULE’s reps reveal that not only has the rapper been released from prison but he is in the process of penning a memoir.

PERRY’s The Haves and The Have Nots, follows a wealthy Georgia couple as they become involved in the personal lives of the staff hired to maintain their luxurious home.
Love Thy Neighbor, PERRY’s second show, chronicles “Mama Hattie,” a fan favorite character from a slew of plays written and produced by PERRY, throughout her personal and work life.
The Haves and The Have Nots is set to air Tuesday, May 28th at 9pm while Love Thy Neighbor is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, May 29th at 9pm on OWN Networks.
