Hip-Hop mogul, MICHAEL BLUE WILLIAMS, is looking to establish a New York based gun buyback program that would offer mentoring programs and tickets to BEYONCE’s The Mrs. Carter Show tour for those who hand in their guns.
Known for managing OUTKAST and CEE-LO GREEN, WILLIAMS recently revealed his planned in a statement released to the New York Daily News.
“The Beyoncé show is coming to Brooklyn; the Jay-Z show is coming to Yankee Stadium. Our goal is to reach out to individuals who are in my industry, in my world and who I have an association with and get their support,” Williams said.
The program, Guns for Greatness has raised over $75,000 and looks to reach over $100,000 through endorsements from Hot 97 radio station, the International House of Pancakes, Polo Grounds Music and Primary Wave Music.
Guns for Greatness will go into effect once it’s approved by New York Police Commissioner, RAY KELLY.
