10 Must Have Hair Products For New Naturals!!!

One of the biggest challenges for most women transitioning from relaxed hair to natural hair is finding the right hair care products for their newly embraced coils.

This problem contributes to most new naturals quickly becoming product junkies who end up spending too much time and unnecessary money trying to find that “miracle” product. In the end, they are left with no results and a closet full of unused products.

And Juicy doesn’t want you to be that girl!

Check out these 10 must have natural products that every naturalista needs to make managing her curls that much easier.

This is a good list, but Cantu leave in and Eco styler gel DO NOT MIX WELL. You will end up with white flakes/ balls in your hair and you will have to rewash.

Some things on the list are good and some things are really bad. I always tell people to read the ingredients, learn what ingredient has what effect and find out what your hair responds too. My hair doesn’t care for Mineral Oil so I wouldn’t mess with Miss Jessie’s.

Used to love Cantu Shea Butter! But now used unrefined.

You got that right… and I hate that… I’m always very careful when mixing 2 or more different products together to avoid that bally flaky feeling…

Miss Jessies curly pudding is good and smells great but Softsheen curly pudding for coils and curls is great and  inexpensive. The green tea shampoo is excellent; it keeps your hair soft and nourished without conditioner.

Cantu Shea Butter is an “ok” product, but it tends to dry out my coils. I understand it is not created by a”black owned”company. I am very wary of products that “pretend” to be black owned just to get the black dollar.  Some of these companies could care less about how to nourish our hair, and they put all types of crap in the ingredients.  I think I will pass on “cantu shea butter” and use the products that I “know” have my best interest at hand!
