As one of the world’s most notorious supermodels, NAOMI CAMPBELL is normally picture perfect.
That was not the case this week, as photos captured CAMPBELL vacationing on yacht in IZIBA with her weave/wig snatched back, revealing the severe hair loss around her edges.
The 42-year-old supermodel was seen enjoying the sun with her billionaire boyfriend with her hair slicked back and exposing a extensively damage receding hairline.
CAMPBELL has over-relied on hair extensions and weaves for most of her modelling career like any supermodel who needs versatile looks, but seems to have neglected care of her natural hair.
Many hair experts believe that her bald scalp may be the result of traction alopecia – hair loss that can be caused by the use of extensions.
Traction alopecia occurs when the extensions pull on the natural hair causing it to break, and usually affects the hairline just above the forehead or the sides, where the hair is weaker.
It can take between three months to a year for hair to grow back in moderate cases, but if the pulling continues the hair will never grow back and the only option is a hair transplant.
