By Trisha Thomas
If you don’t have time to get all caught up on the Nappily series, Trisha Thomas’ seventh book isn’t a bad place to start. Venus Johnston has, by now, married, had a baby (not by her hubby), and reinvented herself more than once.
Yes, the whole thing has soap-y, episodic qualities, but for fans waiting on the perpetually “in development” film adaptation of the series’ first title, Nappily Ever After, starring Halle Berry, this is a fun continuation of our heroines’s misadventures. -RAKIA CLARK
