Shonda Rhimes Helps Issa Rae Sell Comedy Series To ABC!!!

SHONDA RHIMES, creator of the hit dramas Scandal,Grey’s Anatomy, and Private Practice recently used her influence for to help an another Black female writer and producer.

RHIMES’ Shondaland production assisted ISSA RAE in both selling and co-producing RAE’s webisode, I Hate LA Dudes, to ABC network.

27-year-old RAE gained web-stardom after the success of her online series The Misadventures Of Awkward Black Girl.

Now the RAE has landed a spot on a major television network writing and co-producing I Hate LA Dudes, a 30-minute scripted comedy series, that will chronicle the plight of “an aspiring journalist, new to Los Angeles, who becomes the lone female voice on a budding, male-driven internet talk show, while learning to decode the often humiliating and exasperating rules of the LA dating scene,” according to Deadline.
