Unbreakable. That’s how I like to think of my favorite couples, both familial and celebrity. Six years ago, ALICA KEYS sang in her song “Unbreakable”: ‘we could act out like Will and Jada.’ And we still can. Listen, no relationship, not even the best of ‘em is problem free, so I’m rooting for Mr. & Mrs. Smith to come out stronger than ever with love on top like BEYONCE and JAY. Read about both power couples in this issue.
And while you’re flipping pages, check out what MALCOLM JAMAL-WARNER says about his lady REGINA KING in The Notebook and what our Juiciest, actor MICHAEL B. JORDAN finds sexy. Speaking of, TREY SONGZ gives us more than a minute. Funny man AFFION CROCKETT reveals he hasn’t seen NICK CANNON since the twins were born. Oh, and CORY HARDRICT and JOYFUL DRAKE share their feelings on “open” marriages. Before you put the mag down, please read our 15-year anniversary celebration on BASQUIAT (the film).
Though SWIZZ BEATS declined to speak to us, he’s a bit responsible for the artists’ resurgence and we pay homage. Still got ALICIA in my head… ‘We gotta stay tuned ‘cause there’s more to see. (Unbreakable) Through the technical difficulties. (Unbreakable) We might have to take a break, but ya’ll know we’ll be back next week. I’m singing this love is unbreakable.’ Love conquers all, right? Keep it Juicy.
