The Flat Iron For Unbelievably Straight Tresses!!!

Every now and then, Juicy girls give in to their inner desire for super straight locks. While some opt for relaxers to chemically straighten their hair, more are turning to straightening tools to get the job done.

A good straightening iron lays down hair, but a great straightening iron can turn a huge curly afro or tight and highly textured tresses into silky straight locks without burning or damaging the hair.

The Brazilian Heat After Dark straightening iron features the latest titanium technology that holds heat and glides through the hair ensuring straightness with one pass.

Created with a ceramic heater that is ready in a whopping 30 seconds, the Brazilian Heat irons has a built in temp lock to prevent heat changes while in use and also comes with a unique 430 degree setting.

Lightweight, sleek and easy to transport, Brazilian Heat irons are…

Oprah Shows Off Natural Hair on Latest ‘O’ Cover!!!

Media maven OPRAH WINFREY is a new addition to #TeamNatural and is proudly showing off her tresses on the September cover of her magazine, O.

WINFREY, whose versatile hair styles have been recognized in her 30+ plus years in the ‘biz, decided to rock it au naturale for the first time on the cover of O in nearly 12 years since it debuted.

In her column “What I Know For Sure,” O opens up about her decision to go natural and relays stories on her own personal journey.

For starters, she admits her expressing of wanting to transition wasn’t well-received by all.

Comedian BILL COSBY once told her, “Don’t do it. You’ve got the wrong head shape and you’ll disappoint yourself,” when she entertained the idea of doing a ‘Big Chop’ similar to the tapered style his wife, CAMILLE, wears.

We may never see O in all her faded glory but the big, voluminous styles seem to be a perfect fit for her.

Tell us, what do you think about Oprah’s new, natural look?

Ciara Goes Way Too Blonde!!!

CIARA was recently spotted on the West Coast sporting a Chicago Bulls baseball cap over her overly bleached blonde locks.

Chilling in her sweats, t-shirt, and shades, CIARA kept it incognito leaving Maria’s Nails in West Hollywood, CA.

While we love the fullness and texture of her mane, we can’t cosign the blonde-almost-ashy-grey color.

The singer has been on a musical hiatus for a while, we hope she isn’t taking a break from keeping her hair tight and right as well.

Tell us, do you like the new color?

6 Hair Tips That Work For Relaxed and Natural Hair!!!

Team natural or team relaxed?

These days it seems like everyone is expected to be on one side of the hair battle of which is better. Can’t we all just get along?

Hair is an extremely personal decision and what one woman chooses may not work for another. Despite all the hair banter, there are six hair care tips that are beneficial to both relaxed and natural hair.

1.No Sulfates

Whether natural or relaxed, Black hair has a tendency to be dry. Use a non-sulfate shampoo to lessen the chances of sulfates stripping your hair of its natural moisture.

2. Cover Up

Pillow cases and sheets can snag hair and the cotton can be too rough. Whether you’re a twist out kind of girl or like your hair straight and silky, you need to cover your hair with a satin scarf at night or use a satin pillow case.

3. Deep Conditioning

Deep conditioner is a must for all hair types. With all the wear and tear hair endures on a daily basis, a good deep conditioning treatment during wash day can help repair your hair.

4. Natural Oils Aren’t Just For Naturals

From olive, jojoba, coconut, argan, tea and more, there are so many natural oils beneficial for the skin and the body. Hair creams or moisturizers can be good, but many include harmful chemicals or ingredients that actually coat the hair instead of penetrating the hair shaft. Natural, or not, using a natural product usually means less worry of harmful ingredients.

5. Co-Wash

Many natural-haired women rave about this regimen of washing with conditioner instead of shampoo. Even some women who are relaxed have adopted co-washing to give their hair a break of shampoo. If you do co-wash, you will eventually have to use a clarifying shampoo or product that gets rid of product build up to make sure your scalp is clean.

6. Trim When Needed

Natural hair means no raggedy ends from using heat? Not really. Relaxed and natural hair can both encounter split ends.  All hair types should get a little trim every now and then to maintain healthy hair.

Tami Roman Being Sued Over A Pack of Weave?!?

VH1 Basketball Wives star TAMI ROMAN is being served a lawsuit by Constance Corleone — who owns an extension line called Bella Dream Hair — claiming that ROMAN advertised her own weave line Curls By Roman, with a pic of her wearing Constance’s extensions.

Back in September Constance says ROMAN’s camp reached out to her to try out her extensions.

Constance was outraged to find ROMAN was branding her own line, taking credit for the hair she sent to ROMAN.

The lawsuit has Constance suing ROMAN for over $500K.

Don’t mess with a black girl and her weave…

nuNAAT’s At-Home Brazilian Keratin Treatment!!!

Keratin treatments are the new black. If you have yet to treat your precious strands to the silky smooth effects of a Brazilian keratin treatment this fall what are you waiting for?

nuNAAT’s new Brazilian Keratin Treatment collection is the perfect solution for protecting your mane against the dry, brittle, and frizzy damage that cold weather causes on the hair during fall and winter.

So whether you’re color treated, chemically processed, or just looking for a hair strengthening system, this affordable at-home daily treatment is guaranteed to give you sleek, straight strands and extend the life of your keratin salon treatment in between salon visits.

Not only is nuNAAT’s line 100% formaldehyde-free and sodium-chloride free, but the products are made with keratins extracted from vegetables such as corn, wheat, and soy, which are resistant to rinsing and seals hair cuticles to reduce volume and frizz for a longer period of time versus animal keratin.

Some of the products in the NuNAAT Brazilian Keratin Treatment collection include the Deep Moisturizing Mask and Conditioner which are formulated to help unruly hair more manageable. nuNaat’s Keratin Reconstructor creates soft, silky locks after the hair is dried and flat-ironed and the Intense Hair Mask, a weekly conditioner,  provides continuous strength and shine when used.

The nuNAAT Brazilian Keratin products can be found at drugstores and mass retailers, or at www.nuNAAT.com.
