Kim Kardashian’s Beauty Secret: Color Correcting Primer!!!

KIM KARDASHIAN is known for a lot of things, one of which is her flawless makeup.

KIM is the queen of the “beat,” face and seems to always have her makeup perfectly on point.

Over the weekend KIM posted a photo of a bright yellow  pretreatment that her makeup artist used  on her face, and we were all left wondering what was that?

Juicy of course figure out one of the many ways KIM manages to look like she has perfect skin in the use of  Color Correcting Foundation Primer.

Makeup lines like MACSmashbox, and REVLON carry color correcting foundation primers, that come in a wide variety of shades including purple, yellow and green to be used according to your complexion.

These primers are more lightweight primers than the ones you are used to, so that they can soften skin and diffuse light to help minimize flaws and even out skin texture. It creates a perfect canvas to apply your foundation so skin is completely even and discolorations are gone.

You can find color correcting foundation primers in different textures including creams, liquids and even powders.

Women of all colors and skin tones can use color correcting foundation primers. In order to figure out which color is best for you, we’ve broken down the top four color correctors and their function:

1. Green Color Correcting Foundation Primer – Green is the best color to diffuse any areas of redness or irritation on the skin. Think acne, rosacea, pimples and scarring. You will want to cover the areas of redness with a thin coating of green color correcting foundation primer and as soon as you apply your favorite foundation, those red areas will magically disappear.

2. Yellow Color Correcting Foundation Primer – Yellow is ideal for correcting dark circles, bruising and any area of discoloration that takes on a purple or bluish tint. This is what Kim’s makeup artist used in the infamous twit pic above which created a flawless result along with warming up and evening out her skin.

3. Purple Color Correcting Foundation Primer – Purple color correctors balance out sallow complexions and any areas of discoloration with a yellowish tinge to it. This shade is also great for evening out yellowish bruising on those with olive or bronze skin tones.

4.Orange Color Correcting Foundation Primer – Orange or red color correctors are great for dark complexions. They are used to even skin tone while bring back the life to dull skin.

Exclusive Interview: Angela Simmons’ Beauty Secrets !!!

Run’s House and Daddy’s Girls reality TV star ANGELA SIMMONS has grown-up right before our eyes. We’ve watched her blossom from a high school student to a fashion mogul (along with big sis Vanessa) and role model. From Pastry kicks and gear to the collaboration with Mattel for the Barbie So In Style collection, Angela is proof that you can be a hip-hop heiress and still pave your own path.

Has it all gone to this young businesswoman’s head? Not a bit. Angie, 23, remains down-to-earth and when she hits the red carpet, you’ll always notice her signature glow, shining from inside-out, of course.

Juicy: What is your beauty philosophy?

ANGELA SIMMONS: To me, it’s all about being natural. I think it’s prettier to be natural than anything else. I’d rather look how I’m going to look all the time. Like, if somebody [sees me and] I always have makeup on, then when I take off my makeup [and they see me, they] would be surprised. “Oh!” Like, no.

Juicy: What are the must-have products that you can’t leave home without?

Honestly, Chapstick, and cocoa butter and Kiehl’s.

Juicy:  How do you achieve that glowing, fresh-faced look fans love so much?

AS: I usually tell the makeup artist to keep it “simple and bronzy.” I don’t like too much around my eyes. And I don’t like much on my lips. I usually ask for clear [on my lips] and they get mad… Once in a while I’ll do red, but I’m pretty much simple when it comes to makeup, unless it’s like a crazy photo shoot.

Juicy:  Do you wear lashes?

AS: I do. I love long lashes. I actually have pretty long lashes, which I didn’t really realize. Most times people are like, “You don’t need lashes,” but I love them.

Juicy:  You have great looking skin, which is key to pulling off the natural look. What is your everyday skincare routine?

AS: I wake up, wash my face and put lotion on. That’s about it. Origins has a variety [of cleansers] that I go back and forth with. Usually I use the face foaming one. If I’m going to put any makeup on I might put on a [Laura Mercier] tinted moisturizer. I have super sensitive skin, so I can’t really use much. It’s hard though, traveling from city to city. My skin doesn’t like L.A. water. It likes New York water. I will break out in different cities. Origins has a face mask that I use called Out of Trouble.

Juicy:  Do you also have a simplistic approach to fragrances?

AS: I’m big on scents. I have a La Perla one, Chanel, Issey Miyake…I have a bunch. I always mix my perfumes. I’ll spray on four. I’ll mix whatever I feel like.

JuicyNail color is huge right now, which are your favorites?

AS: I like bright colors on nails, but I change it up a lot. Sometimes I just want something boring and plain. Marshmallow is cool. It’s just white. And turquoise is cool. Right now, I have on blue and white, so it varies. I get my nails done two and three times a week. I just don’t like for them to be chipped at all. I like them to look fresh.

Janet Jackson Is A Leather Legend!!!

JANET JACKSON‘s recent spread for Blackgama most current campaign is bananas!

The 45-year-old singer/actress  rocked thigh high boots, super tights leather pants and no bra to return for the second consecutive year as the face of Blackglama.

During the shoot JACKSON admitted her “feet” and “butt” were aching, but despite the pain, she made the photos look effortless.

Upgraded Evolution: Angela Simmons

At this year’s New York Fashion Week, entrepreneur and spokeswoman ANGELA SIMMONS showed us that although she is a successor of an empire, she can take her fashionable moves to new heights all on her own.

Since her debut to the entertainment world in her family’s show, RUN’S HOUSE, we’ve seen her morph from a young, trendy teen into a stylish and audaciously fly business woman.

With constant hair changes (bought or home grown), weight loss, and tips from her sister VANESSA SIMMONS,  aunt KIMORA LEE SIMMONS,  and mentor RACHEL ROY, SIMMONS went from the girl-next-door to a must-watch powerhouse. Talk about an upgrade!

A mix of personal style, designer labels, vintage finds, and her own clothing line, Angela always makes a statement. Click “Photo Gallery“  to witness her Upgraded Evolution.
