Fool ‘Em: Blending Your Weave Installments!!!

New York City-based celebrity hair stylist Gabrielle Corney admits that matching your own hair texture with a weave installment can be the most challenging part of wearing extensions.

The Indique Hair Pro stylist says when done properly, the finished look is flawless and keeps ‘em guessing. “There are many creative blending options for partial installations,” says Corney. “Straight hair blends better with the use of heat tools and the sleekness can be maintained with wrapping it at night with a silk scarf or bonnet.”

However, blending textured hair requires a different approach. “It depends on how much of the natural hair has been left out,” explains Corney. “It has to be manipulated with product and then either twist set, pin curled, or braided into the installation to blend seamlessly.”- JILL GOLDSBERRY

Here are few products Corney suggests assist you in blending your hair with your weave installments:

Juicy Exclusive: Chat With ‘Single Ladies’ Writer Stacy Littlejohn!!!

Don’t hate.

An average of 2 million viewers tune in every Monday 9/8 c to watch the Juicy drama take place on VH1′s hit series Single Ladies.

We sat down with the creator of the show, STACY LITTLEJOHN, to talk more about the hate Single Ladies receives, which celebrities make cameos this season, and the controversial STACEY DASH exit.

JUICY: Why choose to write a scripted show like ‘Single Ladies,’ what inspired you?

SL: I was definitely inspired by my life and the life of five or six really good female friends. We’re all single, and have been single for quite some time, and looking for our husbands after relationship that have not lasted. When I met with VH1, they had already teamed up with Flavor Unit to create a show that was geared toward women and geared toward an African American audience, and they were looking for something to fill in that market. And I came in, ‘‘Well the thing that’s on my mind every day is that I don’t got a man.’ So let me just write about what I know. Its not autobiographical in that sense but certainly inspired by true life.

JUICY: Compared to last season, what are the biggest differences?

SLJ: Of course the biggest difference is one of our main characters, Stacey Dash is gone. Eventually in the middle of the season we’ll get a fourth new single lady, her name is Cassandra Freeman and she’ll play the character Morgan. We tried to amp up a little more drama and the dating ‘war’ stories this season, make it a little bit more exciting.

JUICY: What was the real story behind Stacey Dash’s exit?

SLJ: All I have to say about that is…

Worth Watching: Disney’s ‘Let it Shine’!!!

Everybody Hates Chris star TYLER JAMES takes center stage in the television movie Let It Shine.

JAMES checked in with Juicy to talk about rap skills, getting the girl, and his co-stars.

Juicy: Tell us about your TV movie, Let it Shine?

TYLER JAMES: It’s a Disney original movie. My character, Cyrus DeBarge, is a songwriter, but he’s not confident. An opportunity arises for [Cyrus] to write a rap song for a show, he writes it, but submits a picture of him and his friend, Kris. They think his best friend [wrote it].

Juicy: And there’s a girl involved, right?

TJ: Yes, it just so happens that the woman [played by Coco Jones] judging the contest is the girl that Cyrus has loved since kindergarten. Her name is Roxxie. She thinks that all these great lyrics and songs that were potentially written for her, comes from another person. Cyrus plays the background and is writing all these songs and expressing how he feels for Roxxie, but she doesn’t even know it.

Juicy: In the movie you rap, have you ever thought about a career in music?

TJ: Music has always been a big part of my life, but my first love has always been acting. If after this movie comes out and there are some requests from the fans then I’d definitely start playing with it…my focus pretty much always will be theatrical.
