In an attempt to combat Hollywood’s “loss of integration,” RUSSELL SIMMONS has announced the launch of his YouTube based hip-hop lifestyle channel, ADD Video.

According to a recent interview with The Wrap, SIMMONS stated, “It [Hollywood] is a liberal town, and they say ‘we want to do more, we want to become more inclusive,’ but they’ve failed. I’m in charge, and I know how to attract multi-racial singers and produce fun stuff that mixes cultures.”

SIMMONS is hoping to garner the same success creating Def Jam Recordings and Def Comedy Jam brought him two decades ago.

Set to begin broadcasting by the end of the year, ADD Video, will be used to promote African-American comics and musicians, as well as raise awareness of Middle Eastern videos on meditation.

R&B music just might have gotten the revival so many artists and fans have been longing for.

TANK, GINUWINE, and TYRESE have officially signed a record deal with Atlantic Records, as the R&B collective, TGT.

Longtime stans of the trio may be familiar with the few singles they released several years ago, including a remix to TANK’s single, “Please Don’t Go.”

While there’s no word on a release date or an album title, TGT might just be what the doctor ordered for R&B music.

Over the weekend, BEYONCE delivered a surprise performance during the final night of her hubby, JAY-Z‘s opening concerts, at the Barclay’s Center.

BEY rocked black leather shorts and a Brooklyn Nets fitted hat as she performed, “Diva” and “Crazy In Love.”

HOV must’ve been too into BEYONCE’s performance, missing his cue to come on stage for his verse on, “Crazy In Love.”

BEYONCE fans were in for a treat, as BEY came back on stage to close out the show with HOVA’s hit, “Forever Young…”

Anyone longing for the heartbroken and soulful KEYSHIA COLE sound will be very pleased with her latest single, “Trust And Believe.”

“Trust And Believe,” discusses the plight of a young woman whose lover left her for another woman– who happens to be her best friend.

The latest single from COLE’s upcoming album, Woman To Woman,  and recently the video for the new song was directed by BENNY BOOM.

Woman To Woman is slated to hit stores November 19th.

After a four year hiatus from music, the “T.O.N.Y.” singer, debuted the video for her highly anticipated single, “Losing You.”

Directed by MELINA MARSOUKAS, “Losing You,” was shot in South Africa and displays the countries unique fashion sense and art.

SHONDA RHIMES, creator of the hit dramas Scandal,Grey’s Anatomy, and Private Practice recently used her influence for to help an another Black female writer and producer.

RHIMES’ Shondaland production assisted ISSA RAE in both selling and co-producing RAE’s webisode, I Hate LA Dudes, to ABC network.

27-year-old RAE gained web-stardom after the success of her online series The Misadventures Of Awkward Black Girl.

Now the RAE has landed a spot on a major television network writing and co-producing I Hate LA Dudes, a 30-minute scripted comedy series, that will chronicle the plight of “an aspiring journalist, new to Los Angeles, who becomes the lone female voice on a budding, male-driven internet talk show, while learning to decode the often humiliating and exasperating rules of the LA dating scene,” according to Deadline.

CURTIS ’50 Cent’ JACKSON is back on his business grind.

The “In Da Club,” hit maker has completed a deal with with publishing house, Penguin Group USA, to release Formula 50: A 6-Week Total Body Transformation Plan.

The fitness book was created because the rapper felt his fans really needed to get inspired about a more healthy lifestyle.

“I had a strong desire to write this book because it is very important to me to help people make positive changes and take charge of their overall health. Formula 50 is a radical six week mind-body transformation plan geared to help readers develop mental toughness to achieve optimum results while offering a nutrition component,” 50 says.

JACKSON is featured on the cover showing off his muscles, in hopes to entice people who want change for the new year, to pick up the book when it releases on Christmas Day.
